CONCORD, NH, April 20, 2022 -- The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation recently awarded $90,000 to seven oral health programs throughout Vermont. The Foundation supports organizations and initiatives in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont that provide oral health education and dental care to uninsured and underserved communities.
 
A grant of $25,000 was awarded to Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region for their  school based dental program and $5,000 to Battenkill Valley Health Center for their community outreach and education program. Dental Lifeline-Donated Dental Services New Hampshire received $15,000 to treat patients in need. Upper Valley Haven was granted $10,000 for the dental care of their clients.
 
People’s Health and Wellness Clinic was granted $5,000 to purchase dental equipment for their free dental clinic and the Windham County Dental Center was granted $10,000 for the relocation and expansion of their dental clinic.
 
In support of their efforts to increase the dental workforce in the state, the Vermont State Dental Society received $20,000 for a dental auxiliary recruitment campaign.
 
The Foundation also awarded $50,000 to support a tri-state program (Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont) through Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for living expenses stipends of students participating in the Northern New England Mentorship Program.
